Federico Banos-Lindner advises senior executives and boards on geopolitics, government relations, and crisis management in complex, high-risk environments. His work focuses on the intersection of commercial strategy and state actors, particularly where regulatory pressure, political exposure, and market access converge. He is trusted to manage sensitive stakeholder dynamics and guide decision-making in situations with material strategic and reputational implications. He most recently served as Group Senior Vice President for Government Relations & Public Affairs at DP World, where he built and led a global advisory function spanning more than 80 markets. He advised on geopolitical risk affecting global trade and infrastructure, shaped policy outcomes with governments and multilateral institutions, and led engagement during politically sensitive and crisis situations. He represented the company at leading international fora, including the UN General Assembly and the Munich Security Conference, and is a member of the World Economic Forum and Council on Foreign Relations Advisory Group. Earlier, at Royal Dutch Shell, he advised on geopolitical exposure and led negotiations with host governments in complex jurisdictions, including during high-stakes disputes. Federico began his career as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from the University of Houston, where he also studied Political Science, and operates fluently in German, Spanish, and English.
